Graduation Season
Quote of the Month:
“Forever is composed of nows”
~Emily Dickinson
The May of all Mays for the Kochs! 2 graduates in one month! We are thrilled both our daughters graduated and are turning the page on the next chapter. May 2026 will be remembered for quite a while. Our oldest daughter, Roz, graduated from East Carolina University! Our youngest daughter, Lucy graduated from Cleveland High School. We are incredibly proud and excited for both of them and to watch them continue their respective paths.
So, creatively…what have I been up too? Well….I did a backdrop for a graduate party and painted Lucy’s cap with her college letters and flowers. I have been doing lots of clay that are in process and also closing down my classroom as I end teaching at a public high school. So yeah….that’s all! LOL!
This will be a quick blogpost as we are all in transition, but loving our journey. Here’s just a few more things I have been up too…
All my screenshot Saturdays that tell a little story about what I am into or thinking about each week. I love drawing digitally! Check them out!
All cards were hand drawn this month…sometimes I just feel a pull to my colored pencils and markers. Lots to always celebrate in the month of May!
Photo Backdrop
I created this backdrop for our daughter’s graduation party and she loved it! I used light and dark blue flowers and some greenery to help soften the edges of the cream color wrap. Having my hot glue gun in hand this month for all the big and little crafts! Love it!
As this month comes to an end, I will be reflecting on this season for a long time to come. I wish my daughters all the best on this next leg of their journeys and all they will do and see.
I have a few changes coming myself and I look forward to stepping into a newness that only these transitions can bring. Clay work, teaching summer clay camps and so much more!
Stay tuned and stay creative out there~
