Jewelry Booth

A recent set up to sell my hand bound books, as well as metal and ceramic jewelry and a few special ornaments.

When I strive to set up an inviting booth of my goods, I love to create a space where there are many textures like wood, metal, burlap cloth, clay and smooth stones. Creating this space is also a work of art and I always enjoy my time sharing my love of small things with those who visit my booth.

It all started when…

I took art in high school. I couldn’t get enough of creating with pencil, paint or screen printing and over 25 years later - I still can’t get enough of creating something with my hands and heart. Self-professed mixed media artist with a love of all things small - I cling to any art supply I have available and simply create.

Today, it may be creating greeting cards or mandalas with pen and watercolor, tomorrow a pair of ceramic earrings and the next day teaching my high school students about color theory and the crucial importance of those color relationships in their work.

A wife and mother of two daughters, I strive everyday to show them what a creative life looks like, both the joy of making with your own hands, as I was shown growing up and the self doubt that can steal your personal joy and progress in an instant. You don’t make it this far creating without a few tricks you picked up over the years to overcome those not so stellar moments that happen to us all.

As I continue to build this website, my hope is that it is an extension of my creative life and an inspiration to those who come here. Giving visual images to my work, my processes, my inspirations, my joys and even my heartaches when things don’t go as planned.

Thank you for being here and sharing with me in this creative journey.
