TEA TAG BOOK #2

I created another small book from the quotes on my tea tags I drink every day at work.

I took a different approach with Tea Tag Book #2, I left off the actual tea tags and practiced drawing the lettering in different ways for each quote.

What is it?

  • I am so excited to jump into sharing my digital designs and patterns via Instagram and Facebook stories with you each Saturday! I named them Screenshot Saturday!!

  • The idea is to share different digital patterns that you may want to save as backgrounds for your phone, watch, social media and/or slide presentations. If you enjoy a pattern, simply take a screenshot of it, crop out the unnecessary stuff like the edges beyond the pattern, save it and use it as you wish (personal use only)!

Why am I doing this?

  • I am doing this to keep me drawing, designing and sharing. Sharing can be the most challenging at times when doubt creeps in.

I am so excited to share my idea for this month’s blogpost - flowers! I decided early on I wanted to try to draw as many flowers as possible!

Could I have an over load of flowers for April? I think I could have drawn even more - lol!

Then another idea came to try and create an illustration of a store front for my very own Hannah’s Flower Shop! What a wonderful way to spend the month working through the challenges and see that seed of an idea come to life after many mistakes and redos, ups and downs, and finally an end product!

My vision for Hannah’s Flower Shop: a place that is cozy, colorful and where you can find treasures of little goodies and inspiration. Fresh plants all around and my very own fabric draped beautifully that you can purchase on your next visit. Though this is only an illustration, I love how I can get lost in creating worlds that live inside my illustrations. Once I began to envision this adorable little shop, the details began to reveal themselves and what a magical place it is.

Exciting things are happening over here at lynndylan.com as I continue my digital drawing journey.

Thank you for sharing this blog post with anyone who may enjoy it and as always I greatly appreciate your continued encouragement.

Stay creative and bloom where you are planted~
